I recently changed the stock stereo in my Peugeot 3008 (2016) to a Pioneer head unit (SPHDA77DAB), Since the change, I have been getting an engine fault: repair needed sign on my dashboard. I have had diagnostics done and the mechanic said it is due to the new head unit as the car's computer has lost communication (u0140) due to the removal of the manufacturer's radio. Mech. advised that the only solution is to put the old stereo back in to solve the problem.
I was wondering if anyone has ever experienced this before and can help with what to do to resolve this error. Thanks for your help.
