creaking from front of car

Hi everyone, I have a 2012 HDI automatic. I noticed yesterday (after picking my car up from the garage ironically) that my car groans when pulling away and when braking. Can anyone tell me what this could be please?

Hi Mattluckins. We have bought a 2011 HDI Automatic a few weeks ago. We have a concern from sounds when driving off and when manovering the steering wheel. Sounds like a creaking sound and quite loud, could be the steering rack, but not yet had it checked out at a garage.

hi superred263. I have a 2013 3008 hdi auto and have just started to get the creaking sounds from the front end . Ive had the shocks changed and the drop link all bearings have been checked and all steering joints .only get noise at up to 30 mph it doesnot get any worse when braking or turning .last resort is the front springs after checking the distance from the middle of the hub to the wheel arch ,will post again when fixed ha ha.

Did either of you work this out? Picked up a 2014 3008 on sunday and it started making a creaking noise from the front end about halfway home!

The creaking is from the rubber mounts found at the top of the front suspension struts,I had this problem,removed the OE items and replaced noise and creaking went.hope this helps

I had creaking and knocking easiest way to describe sounded like loose metal tapping and like 2 cereal bowls tapping when going over speed bumps and potholes
Found drivers spring broke and top mount disentergrated when removed from car lucky had new top mounts that were going to get replaced yesterday
