Hi folks
HELP!...
I have a 2022 GT Premium 1.2L Puretech 130 EAT8 S&S 3008 (petrol) which has developed a fault today - Christmas Day!
Car has poor acceleration, for example if I pull away from stationary the car is slow to accelerate, even if I put my foot hard on the accelerator. It's virtually impossible to reach speeds greater than 30-40 mph. Engine revs sound ok and can go quite high if I put my foot down, but this isn't translating into forward motion. Auto gearbox appears to be moving through gears ok. Have tried switching to Eco and Sport modes, and also to manual gear shifting, but no improvements.
No error messages or warnings at all, and selecting the relevant option on the touchscreen (forget what it's called) results in a 'no faults' message.
Car is only just driveable on slower roads, but un-driveable on faster roads.
I'm 200 miles from home with the family for Christmas. Will take car to local Peugeot dealer on 27th Dec when they reopen, but has anyone any ideas in the meantime?
Thanks so much and Happy Christmas to all.
Peter
Loss of acceleration / power
Replying to my own post...
Earlier today I took my car to the local Peugeot dealer. In short, no fault found.
Car was hooked up to their diagnostics laptop but no problems were found, and today the car drives normally. Only thing the dealer did was update the gearbox software to the latest version, but this was more of an incidental thing.
Would still be interested to hear if anyone has any idea what the problem might have been, in case it reoccurs (and just to add that it wasn't that the speed limiter had been left enabled!).
Many thanks
Peter
